PPW supports an online discussion group through Yahoo! groups. Some members who live at a distance and cannot make the regular meetings participate solely in an online capacity. Membership in the organization is required to participate. Discussion of writing and exchanging of ideas are the normal fare in this group. New members may obtain information regarding participation at the time of application or by emailing panhandleprowriters@yahoo.com.

Other private online groups meet on the side to exchange critiques of various things they are writing, or explore other interests such as poetry.

Every member who has an email address is also included in an announcement group. This is a secure group where your email address cannot be obtained, and no one may access the group to send a message except the officers. Members are encouraged to share announcements that come through this group with members that do not have online access.
