Mark Damon Williams  is a teacher at North Heights Alternative School
(English and Speech, grades 9-12). He has taught writing and English at
Texas A & M and North Central Texas College. He has written hundreds of
articles covering sports (professional baseball and basketball) and the
outdoors (flyfishing, travel, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking,
camping and outdoor photography). Williams wrote for the last decade
under deadline situations as a both a journalist and columnist and has
written freelance and as a contributing editor for numerous national
magazines and newspapers (including Dallas Morning News, SPORT
Magazine, ESPN.com, Texas Sporting Journal, Baseball Digest, Texas
Rangers' Program, Cowboys and Indians, Southwest Fly Fishing,
Backpacker, Flyfishing and Flytying Journal, Texas Fish and Game, Mens
Journal Bass Pro Shop's www.Outdoorsite.com , Amarillo Globe News, and
Orvis News to name just a few).  He has won numerous awards for
journalism and books. Williams has written six books: Trout Fishing
Sourcebook (Menasha Ridge Press), The Backpacking Angler (Menasha
Ridge Press), Freshwater Flyfishing Tips from the Pros (Fireside / Simon &
Schuster), Flyfishing Southwestern Colorado (Wayfinder Press), Knots for
Flyfishers (Menasha Ridge Press) and his latest book, So Many Fish, So
Little Time: 1001 of the World's Greatest Backcountry Honeyholes, Trout
Rivers, Blue Ribbon Waters, Bass Lakes and Saltwater Hot Spots" published
by HarperCollins comes out May 2007. He has written four screenplays.  He
is represented by DHS Literary Agency, Dallas TX.  He has recently finished
his first novel, The Bedside Diaries.

My biography for children, Buffalo Jones was published in 2000. I am also a
violinist in the Amarillo Symphony and am actively involved with my
children's activities. I have published numerous articles on parenting
issues, and I have a short story for adults in an anthology.

slated to be published in Under a Quicksilver Moon winter of 2002. She is
currently working on inspirational non-fiction.
